Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Front Desk at a Charlotte, NC commercial real estate location. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, manage access, monitor lobby activity, and provide professional customer service.

As a part-time role, you can build a schedule using our Claim a Shift platform and support site security procedures while delivering a courteous, safety-focused experience. This position requires a background check and a valid license where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge processes preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a commercial real estate location by following site procedures and policies.
• Greet visitors, tenants, vendors, and delivery personnel; verify identification and access authorization; maintain visitor records.
• Monitor lobby activity, entry points, alarms, cameras, and systems; report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly; contact appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Support a professional reception by directing guests, answering phones, and relaying information to management.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat – 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun – 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a commercial real estate location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies.
• Greet visitors, tenants, vendors, and delivery personnel; verify identification and access authorization; and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor lobby activity, entry points, alarm notifications, cameras, and communication systems, reporting unusual activity or concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Support a professional reception environment by directing guests, answering phones, managing inquiries, and communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
