• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Audit in Trenton, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.12 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and documenting visitors, deliveries, and/or contractor access.


• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at access points, communicate with drivers and site personnel, and report unusual activity according to site‑specific procedures.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Loss prevention experience is preferred.


• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
