Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Front Desk Security Officer in Austin, TX. You will greet visitors, manage access, and support a government site with professional customer service.

You’ll work night shifts Fri–Sun 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, earn $22.00 per hour, and participate in a flexible schedule through our Claim a Shift platform. A background check and basic security experience help, with a high school diploma required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service at the front desk of a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, and direct guests, employees, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor visitor access, issue and collect temporary credentials as authorized, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor front desk communications and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related issues to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
