Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Subject to background check and drug screen per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and associates by following security procedures and location policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the retail areas to deter activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents calmly, assist with disturbances, medical situations, and report per post orders.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas and report observations to management or law enforcement as required.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident reports and communicate updates to supervisors.

As a Security Officer – Part-Time Patrol Rover in CHERRY HILL, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will make rounds throughout the property, help to spot and report security-related concerns, and support store teams with professional customer service. You will monitor activity, assist with access points as needed, and communicate clearly with management and response partners. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to guests and associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbance calls, medical situations, and property concerns as directed by post orders.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for signs of theft-related behavior and/or policy violations, and promptly report observations to management and/or law enforcement as required.
• Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate updates to supervisors, store leadership, and/or incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred. 
• CPR and First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
