• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly while following emergency procedures and notifying relevant personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.

As a Security Officer Part Time in Holmdel, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:30 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol findings, incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
