Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Tucson, AZ. This role offers fixed anchor shifts, with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, and a path toward a fuller schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The position supports visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors, and requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and compliance with background and drug screening

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Part-Time Flex in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and communicating relevant information to site contacts and or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment at a technology, media and telecommunications-focused location while providing professional support to guests and occupants.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
