Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer in Hamilton Township, NJ. This role features fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and a “Earn More” pickup program across multiple sites to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by executing site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and documentation, and maintain visitor/contractor/vehicle entry records.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and personnel per site procedures, directing arrivals to designated areas as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving; notify site contacts or emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Schedule: Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
