Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Hamilton Township, NJ. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $19.05 per hour, with a part-time schedule from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM on Fridays, plus other potential shifts. Ideal candidates have at least two years in security, experience with access control and badges, and are eligible for required background checks and drug

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials and maintain records for visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry according to site procedures and direct arrivals to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate to site contacts or responders as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in Hamilton Township, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and personnel in accordance with site procedures, directing arrivals to designated areas as needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
