Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, KS. You will monitor assigned areas, provide excellent customer service, and deter incidents through a visible presence.

This role offers flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform, with shifts such as Fri 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM and Sat 10:45 PM - 07:15 AM. Allied Universal values agility, reliability, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, technology spaces, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify authorization in accordance with site procedures and report access-control discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
