Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed) at De Soto, KS. You’ll protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors, patrol facilities, monitor access, and provide courteous customer service.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule and opportunities to advance through our Shift-claim platform, with a pay rate of $22.28 per hour and a focus on safety, integrity, and community service.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly while maintaining a professional presence.
