Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, KS. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide customer service to employees and visitors, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization; maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Follow Allied Universal and client site requirements to maintain a professional workplace environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site contacts and following all Allied Universal and client site requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
