Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Entry Screening Security Officer in West Jordan, UT. You will screen people and materials, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

The role offers a flexible Part Time schedule with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, including day and night shifts on weekdays and weekends. Prior security experience and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees with site procedures.

• Verify identification and access credentials before granting access.
• Respond calmly to incidents and security concerns per emergency procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and access‑control policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, visitors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with established site procedures.
• Verify identification, visitor authorizations, shipping documentation, and/or delivery credentials before permitting access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, loading areas, business facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
