Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Screener) in West Jordan, UT. The role involves screening, access control, and maintaining a secure site at a logistics and distribution location.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while following site procedures. The position offers a part-time schedule with shifts on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply locally.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers entering the facility; verify identification and direct individuals.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at entry points; report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers entering the facility in accordance with site access procedures; verify identification, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at entry points, including delivery vehicles and personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
