Allied Universal is recruiting a Part Time Security Officer for Entry Control at our Hurlock, MD site. You will perform access control duties, verify IDs, log visitors, and direct authorized personnel while maintaining a safe, secure environment.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.

• Screen incoming/outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries and report access concerns to leadership.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon – 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
• Wed – 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, documenting irregularities and reporting access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
