Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Entry Control Security Officer in Edison, NJ. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and handle visitor and badge access at a fast-paced logistics site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery-entry records in accordance with site requirements.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to loading areas, yards, and facility entrances, helping to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
