As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, security-related environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting visitors and team members. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support routine security-related operations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.55 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM; Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Monitor access points, gates, alarms, cameras, and delivery areas; report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
