Allied Universal in Columbus, GA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time EMT Driver to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site. You can earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform while maintaining a fixed anchor shift.

The role supports security operations by patrolling, controlling access, and responding to incidents. EMT certification and a valid driver’s license are required for driving positions.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time EMT Driver in Columbus, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security‑related activities accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess EMT certification.
• Have previous firefighting experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
