Job Description

As a Security Officer - Part Time - Driving Patrol in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Officer supporting a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and utility customers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response procedures.
• Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
