Job summary

Allied Universal in Wilmington, OH is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Driver to serve clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations. You’ll manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

This role offers flexible day-time shifts, a pay rate of $19.00 per hour, and the chance to grow within a national security leader through our Claim a Shift platform and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications‑related location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and recover visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access‑related logs and records.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access‑related activities, incidents, and shift handoffs.
