Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time) for our Blythewood, SC site. You will monitor the retail environment, provide customer service, and help deter security-related incidents. This role offers a stable schedule and the chance to grow within a national security team.

Responsibilities include patrolling storefronts, controlling access, responding to incidents, and using site systems on a tablet or computer. Pay is $16.50 per hour with part-time hours and benefits as described.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer concerns, disturbances, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, common areas, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report hazards, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
