What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and utility infrastructure to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location, documenting patrols, incidents, and maintenance or operational concerns in required reports.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through a professional presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
