Allied Universal in Meridian, MS is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced role to provide reliable, consistent coverage at an assigned site. You will perform access-control tasks, greet visitors, and respond to incidents while supporting a safe environment.

This flexible, anchor-shift position offers a fixed weekly schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to grow toward a fuller-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience with access-control procedures and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors via access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and direct authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
• Respond to incidents calmly following established security procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Meridian, MS, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.71 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas of the logistics and distribution location.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records and communicate access concerns or irregularities to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
