Allied Universal in Dover, NJ is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Issuance to provide dedicated security at a financial-services site. You will support access-control, visitor verification, and incident response while working in a flexible, shift-based environment.

The position offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, potentially expanding to a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Two years security-related experience required or preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, issue and collect visitor badges, and report unauthorized access to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow established security procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Issuance in Dover, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a financial‑services location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access records.
• Control access to restricted areas, issue and collect visitor badges or credentials as applicable, and report unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established security‑related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
