Qualifications

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors and staff at the front desk.
• Screen visitors, verify access, and maintain visitor records per site rules.
• Monitor lobby and systems; report unusual activity and maintenance needs.
• Respond calmly to incidents following procedures and communicate with leadership.
• Assist with inquiries and support a welcoming commercial real estate environment.

As a Security Officer Part Time Visitor Authentication in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.30 - $19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 07:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 07:00 PMSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and building personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk in a professional manner, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor lobby activity, access points, and building communication systems; report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
• Assist with tenant and visitor inquiries, provide directions, and support a welcoming, professional commercial real estate environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
