• Monitor access points and support visitor management, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities and incidents with timely reports.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in Philadelphia, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following established post orders.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, verifying authorized entry and reporting access‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and actions taken through accurate reports and timely communication with Allied Universal supervision and campus representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
