Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time shift in Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, assist students and staff, and provide courteous customer service across campus locations.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will work a fixed morning schedule and be paid $19.00 per hour. This role emphasizes safety, responsiveness, and professional communication in a dynamic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

• Wed 07:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 11:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving campus facilities, events, and access concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned academic, administrative, residential, and perimeter areas, reporting suspicious activity and maintenance concerns through established procedures.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management practices in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Communicate professionally with campus stakeholders and public protection personnel while documenting incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
