• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, facility wayfinding, and reporting suspicious activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to supervisors.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while responding professionally to evolving situations.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, facility wayfinding, and reporting suspicious activity or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
