Job summary

Allied Universal in Fresno, TX is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Badge Verification) to protect a technology, media and telecom site. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, and deter incidents with a visible presence.

Position offers evening and night shifts, a pay rate of $17.26 per hour, and opportunities for training and career growth through our Perks Program. Applicants must have 6+ months security experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, manage access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while providing professional support to on-site personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
