As a Security Officer Part Time Badge Validation Patrol in Gardendale, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, staff support, and adherence to site access procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
