Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer with badge printing responsibilities in Boise, ID. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and provide welcoming customer service at a technology/telecom location.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor access, and delivery activity.
• Operate access control systems, maintain logs, issue and collect temporary credentials, report discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents and access-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate per procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, contractor access, and delivery activity in accordance with established site procedures.
• Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect temporary access credentials, and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, construction‑related work zones, business spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
