Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Administration in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Our Access Control Officers support a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a professional presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting access procedures and responding to security-related concerns. At Allied Universal, you will deliver exceptional service through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and an agile, people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to access-control incidents, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, perimeter locations, and construction-related work zones to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and access-control issues to site leadership and Allied Universal management in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
