Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in West Columbia, SC. The role focuses on badge issuance, access control, and customer service at a logistics and distribution site.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation as required, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records, issue and collect access credentials as directed, and report discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

• Thur: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
