Allied Universal in Northampton, PA is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the badge desk at a busy logistics location. You will manage entry points, verify IDs, issue badges, and monitor visitor flow.

You will complete routine patrols, document security activity, and coordinate with on-site teams, joining a welcoming, collaborative culture with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A background check will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers following Allied Universal security procedures and site policies.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identifications, registering visitors, and issuing temporary badges.
• Monitor inbound/outbound traffic by coordinating with warehouse staff and directing vehicles to check-in and staging areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations per post orders.
• Conduct patrols of entrances, docks, yard, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

You will complete routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with teams on site. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining accurate access logs.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic by coordinating with warehouse staff, checking delivery documentation as directed, and directing vehicles to designated check-in and staging areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading dock areas, yard space, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
