Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or License is required.
• New Jersey RPO Certificate required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while following security procedures and healthcare policies.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, reporting suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain firearms qualifications and follow laws and Allied Universal policies for armed patrols.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow all applicable laws, post orders, and Allied Universal policies related to armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
