Job summary

Allied Universal in Orlando, FL is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer to provide visible presence, monitor access points, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and performers at a premier performing arts venue. You will conduct armed patrols, respond to incidents calmly, complete incident reports, and uphold site policies and safety procedures.

• Maintain incident reports and patrol documentation per procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, performers, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
• Monitor access points, public areas, backstage spaces, and perimeter locations while assisting with the orderly flow of patrons before, during, and after performances and events.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with venue personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and surrounding property to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity, and observations, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
