Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer in Chicago, IL. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial locations, deter unauthorized activity, and provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.

This role requires 21+ years of age, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Flexible shifts are available through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, including exterior perimeters, parking areas, access points, and production-related areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of visitor, vendor, and employee activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, using assigned equipment and following applicable protocols.
• Document observations, patrol activities, incidents, and policy violations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
