Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Armed Perimeter Patrol Security Guard in CHICAGO, IL. You will perform regular armed patrols, deter security incidents, and respond to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Valid armed guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify campus personnel and responders.
• Conduct armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; report suspicious persons, vehicles, or violations.
• Prepare clear incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Mon: 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue: 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed: 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 08:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures; report suspicious persons, vehicles, conditions, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
