Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard at a technology-focused location in Chicago, IL. You will patrol, monitor access points, verify badges, and respond to incidents while delivering courteous service to employees and visitors.

You will support badge access processes, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $20.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, data center areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate incident, patrol, and shift documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
