Allied Universal in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Operations to protect patients, visitors, staff and contractors across a healthcare setting. You will conduct regular armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism, using our shift-based platform to claim additional hours.

This part-time role offers flexible night shifts, a starting pay of $22.70 per hour, and the chance to grow within a leading security and facility

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.


• Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and contractor access procedures while documenting security-related incidents and observations.


• Collaborate with facility personnel and public responders as needed during emergency situations, maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.


• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
