As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment for staff and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorization for entry, observe the movement of visitors and vehicles, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; maintain professional communication with site personnel and responding public-service agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
