• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Lillington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections environment, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a government corrections location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or public responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
