Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out armed security-related procedures at a healthcare-related property.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete incident reports and logs maintaining professional interactions with the public.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Roving Patrol in New Orleans, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out armed security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare‑related commercial property.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and respectful interactions with the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
