Job summary

Allied Universal in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol to protect clients in healthcare and other environments. You will monitor premises, perform armed patrols, respond to alarms and incidents, and maintain a visible presence to deter threats while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires an armed guard card, at least 6 months of security experience, and the ability to work the listed shifts.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience (minimum).
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies per site rules and laws.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel and visitors.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle equipment per policy.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, client procedures, and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
