Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific post orders and armed response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and communications per site requirements.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in Daytona Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
