Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to patrol patient areas in healthcare facilities and provide reliable, friendly service. The role features fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.91 per hour. You will respond to incidents, monitor access points, and assist patients and staff while maintaining safety and professionalism.

As a Security Officer Part Time Patient Area Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.91 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or facility hazards according to site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
