Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Alarm Console in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on welcoming and protecting clients at a financial services site, handling access control, visitor management, and security communications while delivering exceptional customer service.

The position offers part-time scheduling (Sat and Sun 07:00–19:00) with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, and opportunities to grow via our Shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials and records.
• Monitor access to the lobby and entry points, direct visitors, deter unauthorized access.
• Answer calls, receive deliveries, and communicate professionally with personnel and emergency responders.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document details, and report concerns through established procedures.

• Sun: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access to the lobby and other designated entry points, direct visitors to appropriate contacts or areas, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Answer and route telephone calls, receive deliveries, and communicate professionally with building personnel, management, and emergency responders as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document relevant details, and promptly report concerns through established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
