Allied Universal in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Point Verification to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and maintain a visible security presence.

This role offers a flexible schedule under a Part Time arrangement with a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. You will work shifts including daytime and early morning hours, with opportunities to grow and access exclusive perks

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A background check will be conducted as per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor sign-ins, and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitors, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related activities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vendor sign-in processes, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitors, deliveries, incidents, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
