Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Santa Fe Springs, CA to protect clients and maintain a secure environment. The role focuses on credential verification, access control at entry points, and proactive customer service.

You will work a daytime schedule and have the chance to learn our shift-claim platform while contributing to safety across logistics and distribution sites. Prior security experience and a valid license help, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Monitor and control access at entry points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, issue visitor or contractor access.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including delivery vehicles and personnel, per location procedures.
• Respond to incidents and communicate observations to site leadership and supervision.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access at entry points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, issue visitor or contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including delivery vehicles and personnel, in accordance with location procedures for a logistics and distribution environment.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
