Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer for our San Francisco, CA location. You will monitor access, patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

This role offers flexible weekend hours and the opportunity to work with a technology-focused site. Prior security or access control experience is preferred, along with a high school diploma and a valid guard card

Qualifications

• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, incidents, and required follow-up.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 10:30 AM - 07:00 PM
