Qualifications

• Age requirement: at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry using access control systems and logs.
• Control visitor and contractor access, issue temporary credentials when authorized, and maintain entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns calmly and reporting to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry through access control systems, credentials, visitor logs, and/or established campus procedures.
• Control visitor and contractor access by providing directions, issuing temporary access credentials when authorized, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
